Review: Existing CCD and CMOS Sensors and Their Shortcomings Definition: Micro-filter – is a filter that is placed over each pixel of CCD or CMOS matrix. The neighboring micro-filters are usually different. These micro-filters are part of the sensors. To achieve greater results, KWEII specialists can recommend spectral characteristics of micro-filters, which can be used in the development of new CCD or CMOS matrixes. As a result, error in color reproduction will decrease not only on this phase, but on all following phases, too. New matrix with the suggested set of micro-filters will significantly improve quality of the images and provide users with colors closer to the original than the current cameras provide. If all of the above three steps are realized in one camera, this camera will be able to capture all necessary information to cause the same reaction in a human eye as the actual image would have causes. In other words, by implementing KWEII’s color scheme, the captured colors will be the same as what a person would normally see through his own eyes. KWEII’s know-how will guarantee that the optimal set of information is stored for future reproduction of the real colors (this is not available is the existing cameras). |
